By the way, the object of all this is a 60% P-38 in which rotary engines
are the only ones that make sense for physical room and power. Also, it
only works if the inside of the cockpit is laid out like a sailplane
(recumbent).

P-38 is one of the coolest aircraft ever flown - a reasonably priced
good kit with Savannah- style quickbuild aluminium kit with cnc-drilled
ready-to-rivet hardware, and twin 20B with turbos, two seat tandem
seated...

~350 mph @ 20 000 ft. - who could resist! :)
