My notebook computer is the one I use to run Rhino
and renderings were slowed down to a creep.
I suspected the heat sinks and fans were full of dust so I took it
apart, cleaned it and put it back together. Robin said
it would never run again. Booted right up :)
Ran tens times faster.

Download freeware called Speedfan to monitor fanspeeds, processor and
hard disk temperatures. I used it to finally identify my power supply
ran like crazy because of hard disk 1 temperature getting up to 46°C.
Installed additional fan and ducts to hard disk as well as new power
supply with high efficiency; Runs very silent now.
