The benefits keep showing up. Unlike a schertz beam a stock oil pan can be
used.

Paul, the 640 does not have the upper hard point location, I think in the
earlier S-beam versions there was an attachment from a tab on the back of
the oil pan to a bracket around the nose gear. I don't see that in the dxfs
in the "Best" folder. It does appear in some earlier Jpegs. This design is
good for the CH-801, which is by far a more popular kit, but it will not
work on the 640. I know the zenair line is a bit confusing. But that upper
hard point is the only significant difference between the 2 models on the
firewall.

You are right. Yes you can use that earlier design for the 640.
I have lots of stuff on that.
