Paul, I don't know if you have this covered in your drawing,
but there is an oil seal of some kind pressed into the TC PSRU
base plate. I'm shipping it out today to Jeff.
C. Smith
Yes the oil seal counter bore on the back side of the plate is
in the
3D I sent to Jeff.
Here it is in Tracy's dwg.
Did you notice a shallow counter bore on the front side?
I am not sure he is still shipping them this way.
What is not is the mounting holes for the starter. I found an error
in Tracy's dwg so I left out the holes. It is easy to match drill
the holes once you have the 2nd gen starter.
Jeff, please take some pictures of the final product and send
them to
me.
I'll put your name in address in the parts for sale section on
the web
site.
BTW we also need some one inch OD spacers drilled and two of them
counter bored
for the hollow dowel pins. That can easily be done on a manual
lathe. Of course an NC lathe could knock out a bunch at low cost.
Craig has a set of spacer blocks from Tracy's that are rather crude
but the correct length can be determined by measuring those.

Paul
I really don't have any 3D of the plate..the cups came in.. Some
how we
need to get that here....If I had that cutting will start
today..............
The dowels are 16mm or .6296, how deep you need them bored???.....
jeff
Did that that solid works file from Jarrett not work?
OK It appears to be something wrong with the SLTPRT file extension.
Try these.
I don't have an end housing here with the hollow dowels but over
kill won't
hurt. My guess is 3/4 of an inch.
Paul Lamar
I believe the issue may be that Jeff is using an older version
of SolidWorks? I can save them as a different file type if nesc.
Jarrett
Great Jarrett please do that. I want to get this problem sorted
out for future designs. Namely the two piece aluminum end housings
for those people that have a problem with engine weight.
A certain percentage of people show up attempting to install
a 13B in an airplane not capable of accepting the weight.
The largest market of all would be a one rotor engine that is not
now competitive with other 100 HP engines on the market.
Thanks for all your help now and in the past.
Paul Lamar
Here they are in Parasolid.
No worries, I've got plans to do a rotary powered unit at some point
as well so I'll get my payback then :)
Jarrett
This file extension is news to me.
I hope Jeff can import them.
Thanks again Jarrett.

BTW these kinds of files (large text files) are easier to deal with
if they are zipped. If merely attached and opened automatically they
become part of the email text. Hard to separate the part files from
the rest of the text.
Here they are again Jeff in zipped form.
Paul Lamar
I'll keep that in mind for next time ;-)
Jarrett
All the parts for Jeff are on their way. One flat rate box, and one flat
box, priority mail.
There may be more parts than necessary, but I didn't have time to sort it
through, and flat rate it don't matter.
Sure hope this helps get the ball rolling.
I had planned to build the wings next, but it now makes much more sense to
start the fuselage. An added bonus is the fuse kit costs about $1500 less
than the wings kit, has the actual firewall I need to fab the engine mount,
and I still don't have to finalize a fuel delivery system. I'll be sending
out the order for the fuse this week.
Yes this is indeed an exciting time for rotary air power.
