 I pulled these numbers off the machine..........check over see if it
 makes sense.... only a couple of holes seem to be right on.....

 The datum for the X is the flat that makes the exhaust and  intake side,
 the Y is the oil pan face.....

 OK Jeff I'll take a look at it.

 Perhaps a better datum is the center of the e-shaft axis.
 I'll see what I can do.

In the first picture the effective Datum is the E-shaft so these numbers
relative to this are pertinent. I gave both versions for those that want
to take positions of the flat and perpendicular faces.

Here is Tracy's polar dwg very carefully converted to rect. 8 places or so
:)
I think Butch did this with a calculator. Same coordinate system
as yours (e-shaft center) so we can make a direct comparison. The only
thing
we don't have is the exact position of the upper RX8 bolt.

Jeff, I was wondering if you have a tension bolt- dowell pin - eshaft
drawing with CMM coordinates for an end housing that you could post. I have
designed side housings for a four or six rotor mazda and only have what I
could measure by triangulating with a 12" dial caliper. I intend to give
away the drawings to interested builders and would want the best accuracy
available.
