  Some people have run it successfully but I recommend a thermal couple be
  placed close to the lower spark plug to monitor the "cylinder" head temp.

 Paul,

 As I recall, we had one S. Calif. builder that tried Evans and ended up
 making an emergency landing with an overheated engine.  Don't recall who
 that was as it was 4-5 years ago.

Yes, it might have been Dave.  As I recall, he had flown up to Lake Tahoe
and for some reason, decided to switch to Evans.  He later departed and the
engine overheated and he made a forced-landing on Hwy 395 (?).  Or did I
dream all of this???

The rad froze and split. Improper anti freeze mixture.  Robin and I and
a bunch of other SoCal people drove up to recover the airplane after he landed
it on the freeway. A regular party atmosphere :)
