 Can you recommend some companies that can supply parts for
me to build a three rotor engine out of 13b parts
(e-shaft, etc)? 20b`s are as scarce as anything here in
Australia. Hellishly expensive if you can find one.

Here in the states there is a guy that lives in North Carolina by the Name
of
Bruce Turrentine. I know he has built up some 3 rotors using 13B parts.

Mazdatrix in Signal Hill Ca had one for sale a couple weeks ago for $5,000
US.

Mazdaspeed here in the states sells 3 rotor p-port engines to racers but
they
are not cheap. Running $30,000 as I recall.

Maybe your best bet is Japan. People are still getting Cosmo 3 rotor
engines
from Japan.

It might be good to check with Warren Overton, Managing Director of Pulse
Performance Race Engineering  (PPRE) in New Zealand.  Check out the PPRE web
site.  They produce kits and complete engines for three and four rotor
engines.  The PPRE three and four rotor uses 13B  housings etc but they make
their own eccentric shafts and other components.  Warren told me he designed
a modified center housing some years ago with a bearing installed and their
own eccentric shafts to build up the three and four rotor engines and it
appears they quite a bit of accumulated time and experience with these.  Rob
Golden at Pineapple racing here in town was telling me about such a three
rotor kit which he uses to scratch-built three rotor engines which are
shorter and lighter than the 20B, and it may be Warren's PPRE components.

Descriptions, prices, etc. are on their web site.  When you are there, check
out the video showing their chassis dyno runs of the Mad Mike Whiddett Red
Bull sponsored wide-body drifter car they built with a four rotor, along
with other other videos.  Fun to watch at full chat on the circuit.
Different videos of the car in competition and I think the Japanese brought
it over to run there.  I have not used any of Warren's stuff yet but it is
worthy of further exploration.
