I can imagine the thousands of flex cycles that wing must have undergone,due to its new
composite structure and the fact that is has those humongous heavy engines hanging that
low to the ground because of their incredible diameter.
This time Boeing had to increase the dihedral that much to keep the CG and vertical lift
center location of the aircraft versus the weight and those low engines within respectable
limits.
Did you see it landing? She was actually flapping her wings,perceptfully.If you think,as Paul stated,that a 747's wings are scary when they flex in turbulence;the 787 is always
going to look like a Sandhill Crane in flight with its long,languid,flapping wings.The 787 is
going to truly provide some very exiting and alarming visuals to their passengers.I'm sure
they will always bring away memories of their first flight in one,even the experienced fliers.
Let's hope Boeing learned from that dreadful 777 landing accident in Heathrow a couple of
years ago how to get the landing gear structure to be able to absorb the landing loads
safely in all scenarios to protect that awesome,low-slung engine.
Let's hope Boeing,after this costly and embarrasing delay in delivery promises for the
Dreamliner got everything right this time.But that wing...it sure ain't no 707's.....

I went up to work on my plane and missed the dreamliner takeoff by 15 minutes. Damn!

I'm working on getting the fuel injection map tuned. The engine runs very strong at some manifold pressures, but then I advance the throttle, and it starts surging. It could be several things- too lean at the new setting, too rich, it could be that the injectors are staging, I could have the secondary injectors running too rich,( the primarys are 28 lb, the secondary are 40 lb injectors) or some combination thereof. I'm off to work a bit more on getting this thing tuned.

Try my manifold pressure taps that screw into the oil injector holes.
If your engine does not run better you can send the taps back for a refund.
