I've been following this Bulletin Board for the last 8-9  years and
compiling the emails even if I wasn't actively reading  them.  Work has
often
prevented me form remaining active  in my hobby.  Although I have  not been
good
about filing  the posts into folders by subject, at least I had  everything
saved until yesterday.  I'm now in the midst of rebuilding a 20B  so  over
the
last month, I have been diligently spending all my spare  time  sorting
through all the old emails and attempting to file  them into  folders by
subject
so that I don't have to ask  questions online that have been  previously
discussed.   (That just irritates people!!!)  Then while  attempting to
backup  my
laptop and transfer the data to a new computer, the hard   drive crashed and
I've lost EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!  I'm  basically totally  screwed without any
archive of information  to fall back on.

This is a plea for HELP.........is there ANYONE  out there with a
substantial archive of past emails from this list  who can copy them and
either  mail
a CD or email them in a ZIP  file??  I will happily pay you for any  costs
and for your  time!!!   Please contact me directly so I don't  clog up
others

If you don't  mind downloading Thunderbird and importing 8 gig of emails
I can supply two  DVD's with all email messages with pictures back to April
1998.
Thunderbird  comes with a search engine and that is what I use. Search by
key
word in  the subject or body of the message.

It dates back to the beginning of the internet perhaps 15 years ago.
It was originally called Netscape. It predated Internet Exploader by
several years and MicroSoft attempted to put them out of biz
by giving away a copy of Netscape called Internet Exploader with
every copy of Windows. They were fined $650 million by the EU but Bill Gates
just decided to buy the EU instead of paying the fine :)
