but I can't find the drive letter for the USB

Hi Paul,

DOS can't use a FAT32 file system.  Try formating it as a FAT file
system (FAT16).

Can one format a USB stick.
If I do it in Windows XP how can I tell it to use FAT16?
In DOS I can't fine a file letter for the USB stick.

I think you can in XP, but I noticed that my linux flash drive isn't
recognized by W7. Try to format it as fat 16 in your linux, or a good
partition manager. I know I have choices of formats in W7. According to the
book MS Windows XP inside out, the fat 16 should be available on a drive
less than 4Gb.
