I got the DOS USB support to work sort of
   but I can't find the drive letter for the USB
   stick.

 Paul,

 You need to use a computer that allows for USB Booting.
 That was done around '06 for most systems.   If you have
 an older PC or laptop, that doesn't have the bios that
 allows booting from a USB device, the ASPI manager won't
 work.

 BIOS.

 Georg provides a wealth of DOS USB program source written in
 Power BASIC. Now I just need to get in touch with him.

 For some strange reason it crashes the VIA EPIA-M mother board.
 Perhaps I need to run it before anything else as it appears
 to be a tsr.

This is what we are trying to do.

Mother boards are getting so cheap it does not pay
to use a single chip embedded micro processor anymore.
PB is ten times easier to program than C and most PB
instructions execute in less than one microsecond
which is more than enough for the majority of real time
hardware control. Also as you well know DOS allows
direct hardware access so I see a great future for
DOS and PB.
