 That is a coincidence as Eamon Hurley has his shop in
 Coventry.
 Hurley Engineering was the first to offer after market
 apex seals. Eamon lived to tell the tail after stepping
 off his supercharged RO80 powered bike at 170 MPH.

Paul,
What is the story with that six rotor engine?  That looks
incredible.  How are the eccentric shafts built on the 4+
rotor engines?  Are they custom one-piece units, or are
they somehow assembled from the stock shafts?  Are there
any other non stock parts needed to build an engine with
4 or more rotors?

When I saw that I laughed out loud and accused Eamon of building
a phony six rotor Mazda engine. The look on Eamons face told me
he was serious:)

That is all I know about it. IMHO the e-shaft would be overloaded
at anything more than 4 rotors although Curtis Wright built some
5 rotor engines. See the attached picture.

Eamon did not talk much about how he built multi rotor engines
with stock 13B center housings as one of the sources of his
income was installing 3 rotor engines in RX7's in the UK.

Mazda shafts have long bolts that holds the tapered parts together.
CW used various means. One method was to use a one piece shaft
with split main bearings and phasing gears.
