  I never look at "file manager" utilities in linux.  Too mouse-centric..

  "include"?  What do the icons for the source ("C") code look like?

  Not "include"..  I missed that utsrelease.h and version.h when I first
  looked at the picture.

  you need them. What are they and why does one need them?

Looks like a C++ header file named "usb".

Now that Microsoft has moved all their supported languages under the
.NET architecture, couldn't it be possible to have header files in VB,
C++, C# and J#?

QB does not need them because it knows what computer it is running on.
