Where can I get a pulse for a tach input for an engine analyzer?.....one of
the coil wires, fuel injector wire???

It all depends on what the input pulse requirements are for the
engine analyzer.

As I recall you have an RX8 engine so the pulse out of the crank angle
sensor would look like this.

You may have to condition the pulse with a bit of diodes and
resistors.

The safest way to do it is use a chip called an opto isolater.
I used this with Mark Suspinski's airplane for the intake manifold
pressure measurements.

We just taped into the CAS wires.
