I need to get a pulse for the tachometer input to a Grand Rapids engine
analyzer. Where would be the best place to pull that off?

One of the wires going to the one of the coils on rotor one might
work. That will give you one pulse per rev.

What are the Grand Rapids specs on the required pulse?
Voltage level? Width of pulse? Negative going or positive going?.
Number of pulses per rev required?

What model do you have? It might be on their web site.

BTW people that HyTek Automation DAC can be used as a cheap
O-scope to sort a lot of this stuff out.
