Here are a couple more ZBasic useful files. One Doc and one PDF.
This is the table of contents for for the ZBasic Language
Reference Manual.

I have these files in one window and the actual Language
Reference Manual pdf in another.

Saves going back to the start of the pdf all the time to look
up another routine or how something works.

Not as good as a loose leaf book but those
200 pages are getting expensive to print.

My QB loose leaf book is 500 pages and I have
referred to it 1000's of times over the past
30 years. Good thing it was printed on good paper.

To further clarify the situation here is my goal:

To do a Megasquirt type open source EFI project specifically
for rotary engines using a much easier to learn programing
language than C or assembly. Namely BASIC. Something
your children or grand children can learn in a week
or two.

Off the shelf processor boards are getting more and
more powerful and at the same time cheaper due to larger
and larger single chip integration. Here is a board I designed
35 years ago that does more or less the same thing
as an Atmel  ZX-1280n. Things it did not have were
16 A to D's. It was about a foot square. It had
an RS232 interface to a teletype machine no less.
This was long before video terminals became cheap.

One thing it had the Atmel board needs is a better
hard ware interrupt facility. I can implement that
in hardware but it would not be supported in ZBasic unless
I wrote the calls in asm.

It was four times the price of the Atmel board however
and that was back in the days when a dollar was a real
dollar.

On the other hand what has not improved very much, in
the last 30 years, is the Integrated Development Environment
software. I can think of half a dozen ways to make
them better.

QB IDE is still one of the best ever done in my limited
experience.
