Hi Paul!
I attended the EAA meeting today at Whiteman airport and
spoke to several interested parties about my intent to
install a Wankel onto my cozy4. My enthusiasm attracted a
few listeners including Charlie who runs the show. He
expressed interest in getting you to return and give a
another presentation on all things rotary.

  This Tuesday I picked up a junk yard 13b, to be used, if
for no other reason, than to build the steel frame and sort
out all of the other components surrounding it. It is an
87; paid $50, the front and center housings appear to be
corroded beyond repair at the bottom of the chamber, the
rotors are rusty and the apex seals are stuck in the
grooves. Everything else looks really good. Cleaned it all
up yesterday.
  I plan to construct my own aluminum or magnesium center
housings, build the inconel exhaust, install turbo,
inter cooler, P-ports, injection, ignition etc., and get
some rx8 rotors for max efficiency.
  I am considering building a custom oil pan/cooler to
avoid having hoses leading to oil coolers.

If you are available this week, and are willing, I will pay
you a visit and discuss engines/aircraft and your kasuga
mill. I am ambitious about building parts to improve
performance and efficiency in rotary powered aircraft.

Way to go. Can't beat $50 for a mockup.
The rotor housings look good. Looks like somebody put Teflon encapsulated
silicone O-rings in it. The dumb junkyards let them sit outside and
then they fill with rain water.
