Paul,
          What is the best material to seal up the inlet ports
on a renesis which is now P ported.  The engineer that did the
p porting says he normally uses Loctite steel puty 99913 for
his race cars, but is a little nervous using it in a plane engine.
   Can you suggest something better, or is the Loctite product good enough ??

I would use RTV. AKA room temperature vulcanizing silicone rubber.
Also any filled epoxy resin works. We have a product called
JB Weld. Any filled epoxy will work. It does not have to
be flush on the inside. I have seen just aluminum plates bolted
over the holes where the old side port manifolds bolted on.
