Park of more than 12,300 square Kms (about 4,760 square miles)

That is a mysterious and fascinating part of the world to me.
I would love to explore it in a light plane. Last time
I tried to rent a plane in OZ they wanted me to apply
for  security clearance six months in advance.

Robin and I did rent a plane from Goanna back in July 2002. The
closest we  got  to your neck of the woods was Mount Isa.
We have a subscriber on here that used to own 50 square miles
up there somewhere :)

Hi Paul, (just back from a weed eradication trip along the Roper
River). Well, "The Isa" is only a day's run by vehicle from here,
(about 630 miles) so not much for an aircraft....and yes, a pretty
'specky' bit of country, so if you and Robin are out this way,
hopefully without the dramas of the security business, give us
a yell. We'd love to have you here.
