Hello Paul,
I would like to start our by saying "Thank You" for all your time and effort
you contribute to the rotary engine community.
I am planning on building an Aerocanard sometime in the next decade (at least
I'm honest), and have fallen in love with the fact that I can use a rotary
engine as a power plant. I am quite good mechanically with engines, but have
never ventured into the rotary world.
My question is that I would like to get more familiar with the rotary
engine. Would you recommend buying an old junker 13b for tear down and
familiarity purposes and then a Renesis for my actual project? Or should I
just go with a Renesis straight away and learn as I build that one up for my
aircraft?
Regards,
Franklin
By all means look around for an old 12A as they are sometimes
given away. Practice taking it apart and reasembling it.
