That aspect of it needs testing. The needle valve holding
the pump pressure may need to be enlarged. I'll know more
when I get the Tillotson needle valve and compare it with
the Ellison.
Located repair kit.
Regulator "float" valve housing for Tillotson HR measures .0856" I.D. at
orifice. Body O.D. .260" so room available to enlarge orifice and bore
housing for larger valve.

Speaking of large two-cycle motors, I recall the "reverse ground
effect" Chapparral Can Am car had a large displacement JLO twin powering
suction blowers. Was this your design?
I was a enthusiastic follower of Jim Hall while in high school during
the 60's.

Not exactly. Jim came into my Rattle Snake Raceway office and said
how much down force would we get if we could suck the air out from under
the car. Obviously somebody else had the idea and Jim wanted
confirmation. My office here is just as messy.
I said the car was 72 inches wide and 120 inches
long so that would be 8640 square inches. With .1 psi under
the car the down force would be 864 pounds sitting in the pits :)
I think Chevy R&D did the design and building (I could be wrong)
so I think they ultimately achieved better than that.
I left Chaparral before it was finished and moved
to Ca to build wings for Formula A cars and others.
Here are some pictures of my office and my new Karmann Ghia
at the time. I still have that balsa wood model of a space
frame. It was hard to take a good picture in those days
with film cameras. Nobody is around because it is Sunday.
Taking pictures at Rattle Snake Raceway was frowned upon :)
