Steve,

Looks good. I would like to suggest to change the intake hose to a welded
Aluminum tube. The serrations that make up that style hose cause a
lot of turbulence and thus restriction.

I recommends sewing the liner to the outer part with small safety
wire when used on the intake ducting of an engine. The liner has
been known to come loose and plug up the hose.

Both types could collapse if the air filter becomes clogged.
That is why it is not recommended for negative pressures.

There is always some pressure drop across an air filter.

Yup. Back a few weeks we had 12" of snow in one day. Had a couple of Dodge
trucks come in with the Cummins diesel with the elbow from the air filter to
the turbo sucked flat. The snow gets thrown up like water off the prow of a
boat and gets sucked up between the fender and inner fender and then into the
filter. The snow was packed so hard in the filter a screw driver was needed to
chip it out.

That is why I would be inclined to use an aluminum tube. It looks like it may
fit under the hoses going to the cooler. Then a short piece of hose like the
one already on the manifold. Hard to tell how much clearance from the photo
though. That would prevent hose issues cropping up and causing problems. Don't
need to give Murphy and his law any more room to maneuver than necessary. And
after years of dealing with mechanical things, if it can screw up, it will.
