I just discovered a wonderful catalog for bits
and pieces for rotary installation.
It is called Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies
www.PegasusAutoRacing.com <http://www.PegasusAutoRacing.com

Prices are not the lowest in the world but they have
a lot of useful stuff.

For the helicopter guys they sell all the bits and pieces
that beef up a VW trany. A cheap way to run your rotary
horizontally. It is easy to adapte the VW tranny to the rotary
because it has been done many times over the last 40 years.
Beefed VW trannys have been used for years in relatively high
powered rear engine formula cars.

Dozens of metric to AN plumbing adapters.
Lots of banjo fittings and adapters to AN.

Cheap prices on MSD ignition systems.
These are cheap enough so it is feasible to use one
per plug. In fact I just had an idea. I think I can build
a trigger wheel that will fire a MSD ignition every ten
degrees at 7500 RPM.

This is a must have catalog if you are installing
a rotary.

Aw shucks, my secret is out...

When working on my plans-built Bearhawk, which may turn out to be rotary
powered, I found that Pegasus was by far the best place to buy
chromate-conversion-coating for aluminum components (Iridite is similar
to Alodine). Instead of buying the stuff for $$$$/quart plus exhortation
shipping charges from typical AC suppliers, Pegasus sold me enough
powdered product to make about 100 gallons of solution for less than
$100 (including shipping).  So I am now ready to build about 10
aircraft.
