Michael,
I woke up with another bright idea this morning.
I combined the nose gear bracket and the rear motor
mount strut bracket in one part. The inertia load of
the engine on the nose gear during a hard landing goes
directly into the nose gear and not through the firewall
first. Direct load path through one bracket. Reduces the stress
on the firewall.

Paul,
That sounds like a wonderful idea.I think with your ideas that will be
the best KIS cruiser in the whole world keep up the brain ticking you
might be able to make it fly without fuel.Ha,ha.By the way I got in
touch with Doug.He seems to be having a hell of a project. Is Dave
Leonard is one who is selling his prop.?.I am definitely interested if
it will suit the KIS.
Michael
Jim Poole my machinist is working on it as we we speak. Pictures in a
few days. Here are a couble of 3D's but the strut is not shown.
BTW is it OK to off set the push pull throttle about 8 inches off center
towards the pilot or do you anticipated somebody flying from the
right seat?
Paul Lamart
I do not anticipate anybody to fly from the right. That will only happen
in an emergency situation like something happened to the pilot. However
in that case I do not know how inconvenient that displacement will
be.BTW what will be the other alternatives.
Michael

I can put it on center line. It makes one or two things a bit less accessible.
Not impossible. Just less accessible.
The other option is a slight S curve in the throttle cable which
adds a bit of friction.
