Paul, I'm putting together an order for McMaster Carr. It seems they no longer
carry the rod ends you recommend. Or I'm trying to find the wrong part. Do you
sepc the male of female threads? I got one of the male RH threads to load into
my cart and it was $86(PN6088K151). The male LH thread pn wouldn't show up, but
cross referenced to a composite bodied part (1064K562) with a 101lb load rating.
Any thoughts on an alternate supplier?

I just found that out a few days ago.
I used to use the male version
There is a company called Midwest controls.
http://www.midwestcontrol.com/series.php?id=107
They sell a female version which will work fine.
I have not got a price yet. I was going to do that next week.
I bought some 1/2-20 threaded rod from McMaster and that came in.
It is not LH and RH so you cannot adjust the down thrust angle
easily. The up side is it cannot vibrated out of the rod end
which is a small safety feature.
BTW the Questair Venture uses solid version with an TIO 550 and nobody
complains about noise or vibration.
Let us know the price. If there is a price break around 10 let me
know as we could go in with a joint buy.
One the other hand if the price is $86 each. I'll make a better version :)

Price for qty of 10 gets the RH female ends down to $17.80 ea, and LH down to
19.80. 10" 1/2-20 rods are $2.42 ea. in a 10 lot. So $40 per kit, supply yer own
tube. I'm in if you get more bites.
