Industrial metals cut all the parts to size
and Randy Lewis of one rotor Dragon Fly fame
tig welded it up for me. Randy is a fast learner
as he has limited experience tig welding.
He practiced for only one day and then did
this pan. It holds 8.5 quarts.
The more oil the longer it takes to overheat it on
take off :) My 230 HP O-470 has 12 quarts.

It is not tapered due to improvements in ducting
for the water rad under the engine. I used
to bring the cold air in from the bottom of the
rad. It is better to bring it in on the top
and let it go out the bottom.

I'll sell the old one if somebody wants a bargain.
  $100

Does your oil pan fit on the rx-8 13B??if so i am interested to buy and
also the sketch for second one

Mine won't fit the RX8 Jean. They have a different bolt pattern.

Hey Randy, Do you want to make another oil pan for Jean?

I think I have a stock RX8 oil pan to get the bolt pattern
from. If not you will need to ship me yours Jean.
