seeing your articles I was interested by the Wankel engine. How can I
  buy a used engine and how to prepare for use in an aircraft. need for
  engines of 100 hp and 180/260.

  The best way is buy a running 1989 to 1992 RX7 car for under $2500
  if you can find one.

  180 to 200 HP is no problem. 250 HP is just as cheap. You don't
  need to use it all. Just block the throttle.

  My favorite engine builder is MazdaTrix in Signal Hill Ca.
  Every rebuilt engine is run on the bench. They also have a dyno if
  you want it dynoed.

  possibilities...which should i chose for 180/250 hp and specifically
  for 80/110 hp max.


  I am Brazilian and interest in releasing the engine in Brazil, but
  would like to see the possibilities and costs.  the first, 80/110hp
 to equip my project that is flying for 15 years.
  The second, 180/250 hp  for a project of a canard configuration,
  four  places as the velocity, but with high wings and vertical
  stabilizers near to the body of the aircraft.

  There are also kits for experimental aircraft that would be
  interesting to use a 180/250 hp, like cose and velocity being
  assembled here.

  What would a 250 hp power-plant, with it's ancillary components
(radiator, coolers, etc) weigh?  A 200 hp.  Ranger weighs
about 375 complete...

The rotary installation would be about 350 pounds with cast iron
end housings. 300 with aluminum end housings.

If anyone is in need of an engine, Ed Klepeis of TECH WELDING,
(techwelding@comcast.net) has a Renesis engine with very low hours. Was used
for lab test work, and he is not asking a lot of money for it. If anyone has
an immediate need, this beats buying a wreck and hoping the engine is good.
