Hello Paul & Group,

This is not strictly rotary-related, but due to sheer respect to you, I
would like to share this.

- CO2 climate issue and me: the beginning.

Back at 1991, I went to meet one doctor-level scientist that was our
family friend to discuss about energy generation options and our future,
because he was the most deep-thinking person that I had ever met.

I asked him what's his opinion, should we concentrate our future energy
R&D effort to solar power satellites, or neutron fusion, or He-3 proton
fusion - because fossils would kill us because of global warming.

His answer was: "There's no problem with CO2. Gas and coal are fine"
I was thunderstruck! After a while, he diverted to discuss about family
matters.


Then, at 2002 I met a woman, whose thinking was head and shoulders above
  others. Yes of course, I fell in love. And we become a couple. Her view
on climate change was quite resentful by instinct, and after researching
the matter she told me that it is a deliberate hoax. Of course I agreed,
I loved and respected her. But I hadn't done my homework on this matter.

Then, 2007, I subsribed to this list. Paul has been - and is - very
vocal about this climate matter as a hoax. I was okay with it at first,
but then the sheer weight of media tsunami started to make me budge. I
thought that ALL those 2500 IPCC scientist cannot be wrong.

I started to think that perhaps we gearheads have a tendency to put our
head to bush when encountering something that threats to put our beloved
cars, aeroplanes and motors, amongst the endangered species.


Now, couple of days ago, I found something that turned the whole issue
around.
Then I remembered Burt Rutan's oshkosh lectures about this and had a look:

His proof is massive.

Now, I, finally, came to conclusion, that this climate thing is
absolutely gigantic hoax. But IMO, what's the most important here is not
that, but...

It's sheer weight and dimensions cannot - in no way - be sustained by
"environmentalist lobby" alone. Neither it's most powerful supporters
could be in no way regarded as "tree huggers" - or barely even
well-intended humanists.

This is something WAY bigger.
Something is going on.

That Doctor, my ex, Burt Rutan, Paul, and all the other good people have
been right all the time. I've been lazy and naive to think that there's
some decency left in the media.

Hi,  Ethanol is for drinking and possibly with water for internal engine
cooling of supercharged engines.  Enjoy Global Warming, while it lasts.
The next Ice Age is coming.
