Walmart has a 2 cycle oil with a synthetic mix. What is your take on
this? And is the mix one ounce per gallon?

I have used it. It seems to be OK. Yes one ounce per gallon.

Just an FYI...the Walmart oil is what I have been using for the 8 years
I've owned the RX8, and on the RX7 before that, with no major problem.
In fact, I just changed my spark plugs for the first time, and as I
recently mentioned to Paul, after 71,000 miles, the tips still look like
new with just the expected light brownish-white deposit around the rim
(not counting the rust on the faces of the external body of the plugs<G).

The only thing that happens that I MAY be able to attribute to the extra
oil in the gas, is that from time to time, I get an O2 sensor error on
the OBD II system.  But just resetting it lasts for several months.  Not
sure if it's the oil doing this, but as long as resetting it is cheaper
than replacing one, I'll keep doing it.
