Walmart has a 2 cycle oil with a synthetic mix. What is your
 take on
   this? And is the mix one ounce per gallon?

 Just an FYI...the Walmart oil is what I have been using for the
 8 years
 I've owned the RX8, and on the RX7 before that, with no major
 problem.
 In fact, I just changed my spark plugs for the first time, and
 as I
 recently mentioned to Paul, after 71,000 miles, the tips still
 look like
 new with just the expected light brownish-white deposit around
 the rim
 (not counting the rust on the faces of the external body of the
 plugs<G).

 The only thing that happens that I MAY be able to attribute to
 the extra
 oil in the gas, is that from time to time, I get an O2 sensor
 error on
 the OBD II system.  But just resetting it lasts for several
 months.  Not
 sure if it's the oil doing this, but as long as resetting it is
 cheaper
 than replacing one, I'll keep doing it.

 Are you adding the 2 cycle oil to a stock engine, or has the
 onboard oiler
 been disabled ?

Just as it came from the factory.  In addition to the factory oiler.

Harley has a stock 2004 RX8 car just like mine. I premix a 1/2 ounce per gallon
in addition to the metering pump just to be sure the engine has enough. Mazda
cut way back for draconian phoney smog reasons. I had it checked for smog here
in socal and we have the stupidest and strictest smog rules in the world.

I stopped premixing it one tank before It went through smog testing.
The technician said it was the cleanest car he had ever seen.
