Sorry to bother again but I've never been to Oshkosh. I got a room
   in a house from July 25 to 31--official dates of flyin. But, is
   there anything going on before or after that. I could come earlier
   or stay later.

   Organizers should arrange pre-event things for the week prior. I was
involved
   with Alberta Super Run for a while. It is a car show and shine in
Red Deer,   Alberta every third year. It is for cars 25 years or
older or special   interest. A couple of times there has been an air
show in Penhold on the same   weekend; First weekend in August. I
think next is 2012. We drove to the Royal   Tyrrel Museum of
Paleontology in Drumheller, the Donalda lamp museum
(1000 coal   oil lamps and the worlds largest lamp), the Alberta
Reynolds museum in   Wetaskawin. Old cars and aircraft. You get the
idea. Local things of interest   for the guys and some for the gals.
A dinner theater. etc.

   Set up a pre-event commitee to bounce ideas around.

I always loved Calgary.  Never won it but always won quite a bit there.
Have a lot of old rodeo friends in the area from Lethbridge to north
of Calgary.

Hi Van,

Ever go to Williams Lake, BC rodeo. I got sent there to take a crawler tractor
apart for parts back about '72. Was there the week before the rodeo. What a
crazy place. Saturday of the rodeo the waitresses at the bars would serve
people sitting on the hoods of cars outside. I hear it is respected in the
rodeo circuit just behind Calgary.
