Sorry to bother again but I've never been to Oshkosh. I got a room in a
 house from July 25 to 31--official dates of flyin. But, is there
 anything going on before or after that. I could come earlier or stay
 later.

 I won't be there this year. I am rather disgusted with the EAA. They
 are
 trying to become another AOPA. Kit Planes magazine is far more relevant
 than EAA Sport Aviation magazine.

 IMHO they are also attempting to turn Oshkosh
 in to the Wisconsin state fair. Experimental aviation is not
 about becoming rich, big and powerful. Several fly ins around the
 country
 are far more satisfying to attend. Sun n Fun in Florida is better IMHO
 than Oshkosh.

A few comments on Oshkosh. Drove over from Ontario Canada. Walked
countless
miles over 3 days seen hundreds of airplanes talked to many knowlegable?
people. Rotary Power is invisible without a preplan on where to find it,
seen none. EAA people no help. As a suggestion anybody with a rotary
should
have a flag they raise over their airplane? Maybe post on your site I am
here? The place is huge + thousands of people. I would suggest a meeting
place daily around the alternate engine aircraft parking zone which is
central in the later afternoon which is also airshow time - raise
the flag.
Have all my ideas on the simple to build airplane just have to learn
how to
draft electonic, have CNC router and welding equipment and X -plane
which
still has me baffled.

Since you live near Austin, I thought I would extend an offer to show
you my 3-rotor Lancair ES, hangared in Lockhart.  Also, there's a
super-charged 2-rotor RV-10 on the field that you could check out while
there.  Then there's the Renesis powered RV-7A at Breakaway Airpark in
N. Austin.  And you already know of Chris' trubo 2-rotor Velocity down
in Houston.  So, you can probably see more rotary powered a/c by making
a short road trip around central Texas than what you'll find at OSH.
