I was mistaken about Mikes VHF. It was MicroAir, not Becker. Here is a
link. Will make installation a snap rather than re-doing the panel. It
has a built-in intercom and music input. I didn't see a separate
intercom so Mike was probably already wired up to use the intercom in
the Microair. You might also be able to find some used ones, but beware
of older models that do not have all the same features.

lastly, ACK is the ELT company that makes ELT's that use that telephone
line. They don't sell the 243Mhz version any more, but I am sure you
could get a good deal on a use one as most people are upgrading (which I
recommend). However, if you want the old style I might be talked into
upgrading mine and getting the full install kit so you could have all
the mounting hardware.

Note that the old one is not legal in Canada, and uses inexpensive
D-cell batteries. While the new one is much lighter but requires
replacing an expensive Li-ion battery every 5 years. And of course the
newer 406 includes vastly improved locating ability.
