Thanks for the igs file, but it appears that the file is only a 2
dimensional outline of the 13B engine, not a solid model, in a file
format that doesn't permit any changes.  I am looking for a parametric
solid model of the 13B, or the 13B rotor, to which I can make changes.
 If you have such a file, it will probably be a BIG file, probably
requiring the use of a file upload service.  If it would help, I'd be
happy to have my engineer contact you to discuss some of the finer
details.

It is 3D. I load it into Rhino and it becomes 3D.
Normally it also imports into solid works.

Here is step file. Tell me if this works. We have dozens in various
formats/

Jarrett is my go to guy for Solid Works native file format.

Paul,

Great Stuff!  This worked fine.... don't know why we couldn't open the
first one in 3D.  Now I just need it in a file format that I can make
geometric changes to it (port timing and rotor seal changes).  Is that
possible?

I can make changes in Rhino but they are not parametric.
Jarrett can send you native solid works files.

Change Mazda dimensions and port dimensions at your peril.
They are the way they are after billions of dollars, 50 years and
millions of man hours R&D. The engine looks simple
but it is far more sophisticated and subtle than it looks.
Several would be rotary engine makers have found this out
the hard way.
