Brian, Dave, help!

 I can't seem to get this adjusted. If I leave the nuts slightly loose
 there is zero friction in the aileron action.
 If I tighten either the front or rear ball joint
 nuts noticeable  friction is added to the control.

 If this is described in the plans what page number?

 BTW I changed Mike's bracket as I did not feel safe
 with just a non locking jam nut on there with no
 threads showing.

The photo "5-rear-ball-joint-mount.jpg" shows no apparent clearance
between the rod end outer frame and the moving control assembly, such
that when the bolt is tightened the moving portion drags on the outer
frame.  It appears that rotating the rod end clockwise as viewed from
above would provide clearance.

Looks are deceiving. It clears fine.
Mike was flying it like that with the nut tight.
