This spring I hit a very large raccoon who decided to stop in the
middle of the road and stare at me instead of get out of the
way.  He wiped out the air dam(front spoiler), the radiator
under-cover and the mud guard forward of the front right fender
liner. At 60 mph, I also wiped him out!

In looking for replacement parts, I went to my local dealer
first, but decided to wait and look around after I saw his
quotes...ridiculous if I had them install them, and not much
better if I bought the three plastic parts from him and installed
them myself.

In an online search, I found a dealer in Renton, Washington
(Walker Mazda) who sells ALL parts for all Mazda models at a
considerable discount.  For example, my dealer's price for the
uninstalled air dam (front spoiler) was $320.  The under cover
was $210 and the mud guard was $95.  Walker Mazda's prices were
$180, $116 and $53 respectively! Shipping was 10% of the total,
and no sales tax!

I also ordered a handful of those little plastic push clips that
hold everything together...$2.75 each at my dealers, $1.14 at
Walker.

So, now that I've received the parts and installed them (found a
4 minute video on Youtube that shows how to remove the front
end...and how NOT to remove it! http://youtu.be/DAt0MhycRTU ) ,
and see that they are indeed OEM Mazda parts, I am recommending
Walker Mazda.

The website has the illustrated Mazda parts catalogs that you can
select the parts from and it appears that there is no part they
don't have. If it's in the Mazda parts catalog, they've got it or
can get it.  The illustrations allow you to see what the part is
before your order.  They use Mazda's part numbers, so if you
already know it, just enter it in the search box.

The parts all came within a week by UPS (5 days for the air
dam/spoiler) even though I'm an entire continent away from them,
with the exception of the under-cover which they had to
order...took almost three weeks for that.  I called their 800
number and found myself talking with the actual guy who maintains
their website and the orders...nice, helpful fellow! And he
wasn't in India!

So far, they've been able to handle everything I've asked of
them, so I am passing on their service.  I get nothing out of
this...just found a respectable website worth passing on.

It's www.mazda-parts.com   It appears that they have parts for
ALL Mazda models, not just the RX8.
