If it is leaking coolant you may have a broken tension bolt.

Can you believe that was 10 years ago Paul?

I installed the rebuilt Mazdatrix engine in June 2001 in Palm Springs, and it is still on the plane to this day, only routine maintenance. I did the ducted-fan to gearbox/prop conversion in 1 week (early 2005) without removing the engine from the plane.

The rebuilt engine has about 600 hours on it now, 765 hours TT on the Long-EZ + Rotary.
And about 265 hours on the RD-1B gearbox so far.
