Thanks to Murry for finding this.

  It looks like we can just use the Ford splined part to mount the SGF
  damper and an .090" thick 4130 plate to hold the ring gear. This is
  easy to make with nothing more than a lathe and easy try.

  Good question. On second thought we are in this for the long haul.
  It might be a mistake to depend on just one part like the SGF that
might
  disappear.

  Probably better to build our own. Another advantage to that is we
  can tailor the durometer of the rubber bushings to our needs.

 For everybody that would like to try an off the shelf rubber damper
 here is a reliable source. Been around for years and will be around
 for the foreseeable future as this part is widely used on certain classes
of
 road racing cars. The torque rating is 220 foot pounds about right for a
turbo
 or P-port. The mounting bolts are 7/16th and the bolt circle is 3.78
inches.
 The thickness is about 2 inches so it should fit in the cone of the stock
 flex plate both 13B and RX8. You will need to machine your own adapter.

 I want to warn you that this damper is likely to be limited to 5000 RPM by
 the manufacturer so if you push it beyond that you may explode it.

 Hopefully Murry can come up with a source for the SGF which is rated for
 higher RPM.

 -Hi all,  this is what I have found so far.  The -029 is the better
choice, nominal rating is 310#' torque, will fail at about 10X that, weighs
less than 1.2# calculated burst speed is 13,000 rpm.  I am checking into
getting a bolt set with the coupling.  The Porsche aicraft engine was fan
cooled and had some cooling air piped to the bell housing to cool the
coupling.  Cooling is a good idea for any type of elastomer coupling.

Good work Murry. The -012 looks a bit easier to make an adapter for.
Looks like a real bargain. I'll draw something up. Will fit the
13B and the RX8 flex plate. The coupling will remove the drive stress
from the plate so stock plates should be fine.
