Hi Paul,

Did not know whether you got any of the EFISM documentation with Mike's
aircraft - in any case, here are the Manual (some of the formatting went a
bit awry when I switched from MS word to OS) and a set of  "Quick start"
instructions.

The most crucial thing is if you load fuel, change fuel remaining or set
fuel alarms - you must as the last step- press "B4-Operation" in order for
your changes to be stored to EEPROM and retained.  This will put you into
the "FLIGHT mode" screens where by pressing button B5 you will see  a
summary screen which should reflect your changes.  To get to the EC Data
menus you must press B2 and B3 simultaneously as shown by the B2&B3 EC label
on the screen..  you can do this either in the pre-flight MODE screen or
while in the Flight Mode loop of screens.

Button B5 will almost always back you out of the current display to your
previous display or menu (almost always {:>))

IF you query the EC2 for the EC fuel MAP and get a straight-across flat map
with values of 120 - then the EFISM failed to acquire the Map data.  Tracy's
default value is 0 (which is actually 128 out of a range of 0 -255 - so that
is why the EFISM will alert you if it failed to acquire the EC data because
you will see its default of 120 to distinguish it from Tracy's EC 128). On
the EM2 you will see zero value for the default with + being above 14.7:1
and - being below 14.7:1 air/fuel ratio.

IF you have set the map back to Default mode and have not yet changed any of
the MAP table values, you should  see a flat range with values of 128
(Tracy's zero).    The EFISM shows the 0 - 255 range, so 128 on it
corresponds to 0 on the EM2.

I know that Mike had done some tuning with the EC2, so if it has not been
reset to the default values - then you will probably  see varying values for
the fuel bins.

My understanding is that Tracy's zero value (128) is suppose to provide
somewhere around 14.7:1 Air/Fuel ratio - which most engines will run at -
even if not at optimum for power or economy.
