Hi, Paul...

Does this mean that the site prefers not to discuss rotary diesel at all ?

I know the Wankel.de site is slow in getting its info out (if there's actually anyone still there),
but I believe there's quite a lot of progress at other facilities; and that several units are
"working" and in the trial phase.
Like you, I believe the fundamentals don't favor efficient combustion of diesel fuel (at
compressions less than 18:1), but there's much ingenuity 'out there'. . .

If anything interesting emerges, it would be nice to hear about it.

It is a dead end and a waste of time. Millions have been spent so far
for the past 60 years and there is absolutely nothing to show for it. Anybody pursuing
the idea needs their head examined. Furthermore there is nothing to be gained
as diesel fuel cost more. If some stupid government wants to tax it less
than gasoline that is their citizens problem. In addition it is far more toxic to humans.

If Mistral continues to pursue it they will go bankrupt again. First thing
they need to do is get a simple engine with an aircraft  magneto and an aircraft
carburetor certified. There is absolutely no advantage to EFI in an aircraft
engine. If anything it is potentially less reliable.

The other thing they need do is start selling parts to
the experimental market. The experimental market is willing to do Mistral's testing
for them by risking their lives for free. How dumb can they be to not understand that.

I have been doing this newsletter for 13 years and that is what I have learned.
