Had a short talk to a fellow today driving a Freightshaker with the
Detroit
Diesel with power recovery. He said it gets 300Km more to a tank of fuel
than
an equivalent Cat powered truck. That is a huge saving by the end of the
year
for a truck.

Go Paul.  When you finish your new box, make a turbocompounder for rotary
airplane motor.  Maybe have power input go to PSRU with fluid coupling like
you were talking about???  Could just add another turbo and pipe exhaust
from regular turbo for simplicity.  What am talking about.  You're the
genius.  You can do it.  Looking up turbocompounding was what led me to
this
site in the first place.  Go get 'em.

If you do it long enough it comes with age :) I am 75 soon to be 76
and I started building powered model airplanes when I was 12. I also learned
to drive a tractor, drive a two and half ton truck and started working on dirt track
race cars the same year. When I was 14 I learned to fly. Not officially however.
At 17 I was driving semi's across this country with out even a drivers license :).
