How much boost is Bobby using?

Paul Lamar

Paul,
I'm not really sure.  Seems like he mentioned max boost was 35", but I'm
not
certain on that.  I do know that he cruises at around 30".

Mark

How many GPH is he burning?

How fast did you guys cruise going up there?

Paul Lamar

We were cruising between 160 and 170 TAS (mph).  I normally cruise around
190-200 TAS (mph), but I was flying with two RV's, so needed to slow down.
;-)

Mark S.

Any chance of finding out GPH at various cruise speeds mentioned.

van

I would like more pic of his fire wall forward. how much hp is he seeing
with his current setup?

clifton younger

Clifton,

Sorry, I can't help you with pics.  And Bobby doesn't have a web site
either.

Mark

I think I may have one or two.
Here they are.

Another guy supercharged a 2 rotor so let me know if you
want to see some pictures of that.

Paul Lamar

yes! I would :)

Has anyone tried the small belt driven blower by paxton that was used on
some shelby mustangs?

Prices start at around 2,000, and should run way cooler than a turbo. I know
that a turbo is almost  "free power" using reclaimed energy from the
exhaust, and this will require some HP from the engine to drive it,

So what do you think?

Kevin Alderman

OK if you don't mind the increase in fuel burn and reduction
in range.

Paul Lamar

My question is, when is somebody going to take one of those
supercharger gearboxes and hook it up to a power turbine?
Chris Wood

Why?
