Paul, was sent an email about the Open Fuel Standard Act, basically they
outline how to get gasoline prices back to $2 a gallon, by requiring all
new
cars to run equally well on gasoline, ethanol, and most importantly --
methanol.  Methanol is made from coal, and we have the worlds largest
supply
of coal, estimated at 1,000 years supply, along with many of our closest
allies.

Question is has any work been done running Methanol in a Wankel Engine?
As
stated they say that methanol has 1/2 the energy per gallon of gasoline,
but
is 105 octane, they imply that is can burn more efficiently.

The Open Fuel Standard Act plan is intended to break the OPEC Oil Cartel's
hold on world wide energy.  Sounds good basically, and if it works to
reduce
exhaust emissions that would place the Rotary Engine back in the race,
right???

The Canadians are dieing to sell us oil but we refuse to put in a pipe line.

It doesn't matter where oil comes from as our consumption keeps pricing
high, which supports various terrorist organizations. Oil is a fungible commodity.

We've been through this before.  The oil cartel keeps oil prices high fora
while, suckering investors into funding infrastructure for exploration and
refining.  Then, just as production is ramping, Arabs in OPEC open the taps,
flooding the market with cheap oil.  This wipes out the investors, idling
the new operations. Venezuela, Mexico, deep water, etc.

The only way to counter that is through anti-capitalist, regulatory resolve
which requires consumption from the new, more expensive source.  Businesses
won't choose this on their own as it takes too long a view - longer than the
quarterly corporate earnings report.

And plus, as long as Exxon (profits up 41% this quarter!) has the federal
government under control, providing military protection (paid for by you and
me) for their operations, why should they go to where production is more
expensive?

Capitalism is about buying oil from the cheapest source - the Arabs.
Capitalism uses any competitive advantage, including taxpayer funded
military protection.

hello guys. I have been reading postings on this site for over a year now
and I would like to know is there after all this time a working setup that
is like a bench mark and known to work? It seem to me everybody is looking
for a new planatary psru and Fuel systems and Ignition systems I would like
to buy a rotoray and have a stright foward conversion plan and then
installation plan.
