Paul,

I attended a local EAA poker run (for a/c and cars).  It was a gorgeous day
in Central Texas.  The local Cobra club showed up to represent the "car
guys".  Thought you would enjoy this picture.  By the way, my PPort 20B
Lancair was the fastest of the bunch.  ;-)

I am sure it was by a factor of almost 2 :)

BTW  I won a ride in a T-6.  ;-0

Mark

I think you should enter that thing in the 500 mile ND to OSH air race
next year.

Mark are you the only Wankel Rotary powered Lancair?

P.S. The Cobra is my all time favorite Car, ever, and the more I hear about
your aircraft the more I think your PPort 20B Lancair is fast becoming my
next favorite aircraft, thats behind the P-38 Lighting (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITRLk9b9AcY ).

My former favorite civilian aircraft was the Beechcraft Staggerwing, I was
cheering on the Griffon Lionheart a Kit Plane,
http://www.griffon-aerospace.com/lionheart.html which is not in production
( http://airbum.com/pireps/PirepLionheart.html ) any longer, just loved
this kit concept, but wanted a Wankel Rotary Engine in it.  I think that
plane's aerodynamics would have been greatly improved with less frontal
surface.  You get alot of aircraft, useful load, six passengers for the
buck.  Imagine the cost factor reduction adapting the Mistral 360hp Turbo
to this kit, or with a 20B Mazda Rotary engine even better cost factor. If
only they had made it fully aerobatic, fun ride for six people.

( ...hoping I can win a ride with Mark!!! )
