 I am nearing completion (yeah, right!) of my KR-2S, and I finally need
 to make a decision about an engine. I am looking into using a Mazda
 conversion, and I would appreciate the opportunity to learn more from

 A mazda 2 rotor is quite heavy for a KR-2S I think.
 What firewall forward weight will it accept?

I'm looking to get in at around 220 lbs without the engine mount. Is
that in the ball park?

That would be about right for a one rotor.
You might contact Dave Atkins and see if he is still building
one rotor engines.
