Temps have been below zero in the shop the last couple of days, so I've
been doing a some experimenting, programming with TCL scripts.

I now have a TCL script running on Ubuntu 10.04 that will read two USB
ports, communicating with the DLP-IO20 data acquisiton board on USB1 and
reading data from a GPS dongle on USB0.

I just received another little package from Digikey tonight containing
some little temperature sensors ($0.70 each) and a pressure sensor.  I
intend to make an experimental pitot tube and connect it to the pressure
sensor.  Will probably connect it all to my Lenova notebook computer and
stick it out the car window so see how accurate it is. I can even X-ref
with the GPS speed on a calm day, I suppose.

The GPS unit has been the most challenging.  It doesnt always want to
start transmitting data, and I cannot figure out a foolproof method of
kickstarting the little bugger ????
