    I have another similar question: has anyone ever mixed a bit of diesel
    with the gas?
    When I flew model helicopters we used methanol mixed with as much
    20% nitro methane. The problem with the nitro is almost explosive
   combustion.
    We started mixing gasoline with the fuel at up to about 10%. This cooled
    the combustion and allowed for a more controlled burn and smoother power.
    Diesel fuel has more BTU per lb than gas, but a higher vapor point.
    If you mixed say 10% diesel with the gas, it should lower exhaust
    temps, and may lubricate the apex seals without the oil being added
    to the fuel.

    Just a thought.

    Did you look at the link Mark LaPierre posted?  With all you
    expertise with rotaries, do you think that a person can build a 13b
    turbo with 200 rear wheel HP and 600 ft lbs torque at rear wheels.
    If so, I know what's going in my Suburban and truck.

    You have to look at "just the facts Ma'am". That was dynoed in 2nd gear.
   That
   is where the 600 lb/ft torque came from. No magic. It is like all
   statisticians; you can use the information in a manner that suits your
   needs.
   Take three statisticians and give them one set of information and you will
   get
   three different results depending on their personal motivations. Follow the
   money in this case.

 Of course, Dale.  2nd gear.  Guess I just skimmed the article.  I couldn't
 believe it could make 600 fp at 6000rpm  no matter what turbo it had, but
 if it could I was going to put it in everything I drive.

"Horsepower will always be torque X rpm / 5252.  Expressed another way:
On a graph, the lines representing torque and horsepower will cross or
otherwise meet at 5252 rpm."

You can't measure the torque at the wheels and the rpm at the engine.
Both must be measured at the same point in the system to generate any
usable data.
