How would this go with a rotary?

Yes a rotary would work but this is a bad way of building a flying car.
If it had only three wheels it would avoid all dumb the car regulations
like 2.50 mph
bumpers and side impact beams. It would qualify as a motor cyle.

A dumb idea with 3 or 4 wheels, turbine, rotary or lycoming. You get
bumped in
traffic, you're grounded till your certified mechanic signs you off.
Insurance? Just
wait and see.

Of course one little "bumper kiss" would make it unairworthy even certified
with 4 wheels
