RIP Carroll Shelby. Hell of a career. I first saw him drive an
evil handling Ferrari at Riverside in his striped bib overalls, with
a nitroglycerin tablet in his mouth in case of heart trouble.

Jerry Titus had me drive out to Willow round about 1967-69 to see if
I could fix the aerodynamics on this turkey Can Am car :) I don't
remember who designed and built it in England but he was out to
lunch. As I recall it did not cool either :)

You won't see these pictures anywhere else. I don't remember the
name of the Shelby race manager standing on the left side of the
car. Anybody know who that was?

I always wanted to be able to meet Mr. Shelby and have a good talk. That
video is close. I still would like to buy a Cobra (original of course). It is
going to cost a lot more now. It is great that he got to see the 1000
introduced before his passing.
