Another question about fuel, rotary are very fuel versatile and not
 too octane sensitive,but most people use mogas. I assume it must be
 regular, in Calif. you do not even have access to the highest octane
 premium fuel now.  What changes/adjustments have to be made to use
 other fuel, such as diesel, jet A, or anything else flammable.
 Compressed gas fuel I think are too difficult for aviation use for now.
  Can the other fuel be mixed with gasoline?? A straight diet of
 diesel may free the owner from mixing oil in the fuel since diesel have
  lubricating properties.

  They can be made to run on diesel but not compression ignition so far.
  Therefore there is no improvement in BSFC.

  The current geometry does not allow the necessary high compression ratio.

  you run  out  of  gasoline  ?     Or  mix  the  two ?       Ben

 You are also unlikely to get it run without high pressure direct injection.

 With a spark plug it would need to be quite hot to keep from fouling. Best
for running heavy fuel would be like Pat Power and us a glow plug to help
ignite the high pressure injection on a low compression engine. Paul stated
you can get them to run on almost anything is likely correct. But not to be
able to fuel with whatever you can get your hands on at any one time. To
convert from gasoline to kerosine and then diesel would require some changes.
